Job Description

The Company:
Our client is a highly respected residential builder with a track record of delivering over 25,000 homes and reshaping communities across Southeast Queensland. Known for quality, value, and innovation, they are rapidly expanding with a strong pipeline of community projects coming to market this year.

The Role
This is a pivotal role within the Brisbane team, responsible for coordinating and optimising housing designs across large residential estates. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure homes are efficiently designed, compliant with planning requirements, visually appealing, and build-ready.

This role requires a blend of technical design expertise, project coordination, and commercial awareness - with a focus on delivering practical, cost-effective outcomes while maintaining customer appeal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the allocation of home designs across large-scale residential projects (10–100+ lots)
  • Ensure compliance with QLD planning requirements, including setbacks, overlays, and zoning constraints
  • Design and refine façades to enhance streetscape and market appeal
  • Collaborate with developers, consultants, and internal teams to align product with estate outcomes
  • Ensure design practicality and build efficiency, identifying potential construction issues during design development
  • Maintain product documentation, revisions, and version control
  • Conduct site inspections where required to assess build quality and layout execution.
About You
  • 4+ years’ experience in residential drafting, design, estimating, or construction coordination
  • Advanced Revit capability and experience
  • Strong knowledge of QLD planning regulations and council setbacks
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and improve residential plans
  • High attention to detail with a strong commercial mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work autonomously
  • Experience allocating housing products to suit estate layout and planning conditions
