Job Description

The Company
Our client is the fastest growing owner, developer & operator of holiday parks across Australia and New Zealand. They are committed to offering safe, friendly and fully planned Holiday Parks in iconic locations.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of a portfolio of development projects. This senior, hands-on role will see you manage projects from feasibility and approvals through to construction and completion, ensuring high-quality, commercially viable outcomes.

You will provide technical and commercial leadership and confidently liaise with councils, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

  • Strategic project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Overseeing delivery of works in coordination with internal teams and external consultants
  • Providing technical guidance and commercial insight across all projects
  • Mentoring junior staff and building a high-performing team
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, WHS, and environmental requirements
  • Managing project risks, opportunities, and performance reporting to the PCG and senior leadership
  • Contributing to board-level reporting and broader strategic planning
  • Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across councils, trades, and consultants
  • Championing health, safety, and sustainability best practices
Experience Required
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering, or Project Management (or relevant Trade Qualification)
  • Proven experience managing multiple development or construction projects
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including feasibility and returns analysis
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in holiday park or manufactured housing estates industry (advantageous)
  • Ability to work autonomously, think strategically, and manage competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including reporting to senior management
